The Role
This role is in our Management Accounts department where you will be supporting the finance team in preparing and analysing management accounts. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will play an important role in ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner adhering to strict deadlines.
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts to a strict timetable and in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting practice.
- Prepare performance analysis and commentary versus budget/forecast as part of the month-end management accounts process.
- Responsible for completing delegated balance sheet reconciliations promptly.
- Prepare daily revenue postings, reconcile to third-party statements, and resolve any issues.
- Provide cover for other members of the Financial Operations team when required.
- Assisting in other month-end/year-end tasks.
- Support year-end audit.
- Other ad-hoc tasks to support the finance function.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Office365
- High level of accuracy
- Ability to adapt to competing demands
- Ability to build and manage relationships across the business
- Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative
Desirable
- Experience using financial accounting software, Oracle NetSuite
- Experience working in a start-up/scale-up company
