What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a control framework that validates and supports accurate PnL reporting for Dare. The role will involve reviewing current processes with a view to streamlining and improving efficiencies. Further responsibilities include:
- PnL reconciliation and reporting. Manage daily reconciliations between cash and trading PnL data, ensuring strong financial controls are in place.
- Independent price verification.
- Ensure the trading system is kept up to date with product prices.
- Assist with implementing the product control function as we expand into new markets.
- Provide help with ad hoc analysis and query investigation.
- Collaborate with relevant business functions (e.g. traders and middle office) to establish more effective processes and controls.
- Analyse, redesign and recommend improvements to finance processes and systems by leveraging technology.
Core requirements:
- Over three years of experience in a similar Product Control role with reporting and reconciliation experience.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CPA).
- Skilled in Python.
- Demonstrable experience in automation and improving controls and workflows.
- General product control experience within commodity trading.
- Proven experience in managing large data manipulation.
